Bilingual Education
The Primary Section of VVIS International School Algarve offers a Bilingual Programme for children between the ages of 5 and 11. This means that children do not merely learn their host language during weekly teaching slots, but receive 35% of instruction in Portuguese in a variety of subjects. Likewise, this method of teaching provides an opportunity for Portuguese speakers who would like to become more fluent in English in order to further their education in an international context.
